Many people in Bielefeld rely on their beloved two-wheeler to get around and use it every day. Whether it's for the commute to work or for a short jaunt at the weekend. Unfortunately, however, bicycle thieves spoil the fun of environmentally friendly transportation for many two-wheeled friends. Every year, the Bielefeld police register hundreds of bicycle thefts. These thefts are currently being investigated by the Bielefeld police's "Saddle" investigation team.

Sometimes the stolen bikes are found quickly during checks and can be returned to their rightful owners using frame numbers. But this does not always work. If no theft report has been filed or a bike is not registered, we search for the owners using a photo, a model description and the key data on the situation in which the bike was found.

Unfortunately, you have not found your bike among the published photos? Then we recommend that you come to a bicycle registration campaign organized by the Bielefeld police. We will also provide you with information on how to secure your bike properly. Make it difficult for thieves!
